Covid-19 has impacted the sports tourism industry greatly...
...but we at Pure Michigan Sports are eager to open and be together again. Play Safe in Michigan is a campaign updating our partners where our state stands currently amidst the pandemic.
As of February 8, 2021 the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MHDDS) has allowed all sports to return to practice and competition. Athletes must wear masks while participating other than water sports. If you are following the enhanced guidelines for the athletes such as testing daily, quarantine in place, then you do not have to wear a mask while competing.
Venues are currently limited to 25% capacity and depending on the size spectators may be limited to two or less.
Our organization is continually working with other entities within our state to support the return of meetings and events.
Additional questions can be directed to our members found on the 'Our Partners' page above.
